About NPGI

What we can do

The Institute is continually keeping a seat at the National product safety committee at Danish Standards S-230, the European product safety committee CEN, and the American product safety committee ASTM, and we are therefore co-authors of the various safety standards issued in Europe and America. The Institute therefore has direct access to the applicable safety regulations in the EU and USA well in advance of them coming into effect. Likewise, we have direct access to all interpretative documents from the various product safety committees. As such, we are always appraised of the newest safety initiatives, and are able to seamlessly adapt them into our continued professional development.

Our course leader has many years of experience in training both inspectors and installers for the playground industry, as well as in issuing personal certificates.

Our inspectors are all certified according to the applicable European standards, their training is regularly updated, and the management monitors their inspections annually.

The inspectors have many years of experience in inspecting equipment in accordance with the applicable regulations, for example: playgrounds, multi-sport equipment, parkour equipment, skating rinks, outdoor fitness, bouncy castles and trampolines. One of our inspectors also holds certification as a safety inspector according to the American playground standard ASTM F1487-17.

Our engineers can perform calculations in steel and perform physical tests of load-bearing elements on site, as well as perform traction and stability tests for equipment. The Institute is also in possession of several HIC testers and can perform the required drop tests onto all kinds of falling surfaces and can also certify falling surfaces.

Responsibility is crucial, which is why we’re going all-in on the World’s Most Important Plan: The UN Sustainable Development Goals.
