The Center for Play Excellence (CPE) is the professional heart of the Nordic Playground Institute, dedicated to transforming high-level intellectual property into world-class certifications.

We don’t just teach play; we define it. As the industry’s recognized authority, our certifications carry the weight of impartial expertise and rigorous standards. Professional Certifications (Pedagogical Branch)

Certified Nordic Playworker

Technical Inspection (Safety Branch)

Precision in Safety. Excellence in Inspection. The CPE provides centralized oversight and training for the industry’s most critical safety roles. Our inspectors are trained to be impartial gatekeepers of public safety, adhering to relevant standards.

Annual & Post-Installation Inspectors

Master regulatory compliance and the rigorous validation of new equipment.

Operational Inspectors

Proficiency in day-to-day safety assessments and equipment stability.

The Standard

We train our inspectors to identify “Hazards” while understanding the importance of “Managed Risk”.

The Public Registry & Ethics

Every CPE graduate is held to a strict Code of Ethics. We maintain a Public Registry of Play Excellence, allowing employers to verify credentials and license numbers instantly. This commitment to “Play Justice” and professional integrity ensures our titles remain the most respected in the Nordic context.
